4/27/2010Well I gave mom a break and slept 8 hours last night - not sure I'll ever do it again, but I'll give her one night of sleep. I got cranky later in the evening so mom put me in big brother's swing on the porch. It says it's for kids 9months - 3 years, so I must be a big boy. I really liked it, swinging with the wind blowing over me was quite calming. I even let my big brother push me and I talked to him letting him know we were good, I really liked it. Hello people, when will you learn. I don't like being moved around - change is not good. When I'm with mommy leave me alone, if I'm laying in my bouncer leave me alone, if I'm swinging leave me alone!!!! I like to chill and I need my alone time. If you continue to harrass me seeking some kind of "lovin" on my part you'll only continue to be let down with my loud continuous wailing. I can't believe you haven't figured this out by now - and they say babies have to learn - PLEASE 4/2/2010Mommy and I have had trouble getting feedings down. I love mommy's boobies so much, they are such a comfort I fall asleep rather than eat. So today mommy went back to the lactation consultant (they gave her pills to increase her milk supply last time) and this time we came home with a supplemental nursing system. Now mommy hooks a tube to her boob so I get formula at the same time as breast milk. This way I take less time to eat and eat less often giving both mommy and me a chance to sleep. Fingers crossed that this helps make mommy less grumpy:) 3/5/2010
Hey who's idea was it to push me out of my nice comfy room? It's cold, loud, and bright out here! Not only that, but I have to breathe on my own and actually work for my food now. On top of all that, the umbilical cord tried to kill me, the nurses keep pricking my foot to get blood sugar and nobody will just leave me alone with my Mommy! Grandparents think I'm a game of 'hot potato'. But my big brother is really cool and I just LOVE the blankie he made me. 1/11/2010Well mommy failed her 3 hour glucose test so they've officially classified her as having gestational diabetes. She had to go get a glucose meter a few days ago and now she has to prick her finger 4 times a day (sorry for all the hassle mommy). She has to log everything she eats and is very upset because no matter how good she is the numbers just won't stay in the range they need to be. He doc, just give her the pill so we don't have to go through this crap!
Things are getting pretty cramped in here. Daddy keeps telling me to kick the squishy thing by my feet. I try not to listen to him, but sometimes I just can't help it it gets in the way. Of course it makes mommy unhappy as it makes her pee all the time.
I let my big brother feel me move a few days ago. He pats mommy's tummy and tells me to kick - he's so cute I finally gave in. But gramma you're not nearly as cute so just give it up! 12/29/2009Well mommmy is at it again. She failed the glucose test at the doctors office so she is taking her 3 hour test again today. This time however the effect is much worse. The stuff they gave her to drink is making me really dizzy and mommy is tired to the point of almost falling asleep. I hope this is the last time we have to do this - in the words of my big brother "This is very unpleasant!" 12/25/2009Well I got a present from my big brother Erik today - he was even kind enough to open it for me. Hopefully I'll like it when I make my grand entrance. It's a baby toy that vibrates. Don't know if I'll like it but Erik sure does. I thought he would never stop playing with it in the store when he and mommy bought it. 12/12/2009
The day started out nice and calm. Mommy slept in because Erik wasn't around to wake us up early. How quickly things change. We went to a 3d/4d ultrasound place and I spent 45 minutes being poked and prodded with light shining in my face. Then people had the nerve to ask me to move my hands from my face - hello BRIGHT LIGHT. You're lucky you didn't get the finger let alone get to see my face! 12/4/2009Well mommy can really feel me now. She makes lots of funny noises everytime I kick which is quite entertaining for me and daddy gets a kick out of it too. I kicked her in the belly button the other day which really took her for a loop since I don't usually kick her that high up. That and she's really worried about her belly button popping out - I'll do my best to keep it an innie mom.
A month or so ago I let daddy feel me one night when I gave mommy a great big kick. He thought it was cool. Well, when he stops teasing mommy all the time I"ll let him feel me again - but not until then!!!!!!!
Oh and mommy has a cold now. Hopefully it won't have too much affect on me. 11/21/2009Mommy put Erik down for his nap today and layed on his couch until he fell asleep. She fell asleep and when she stood up there was a big loud POP! Mommy hobbled to her bed and daddy came in to look at her ankle. Nothing seemed to be broken, but I know it hurt her I could hear her crying until she fell asleep. Don't worry mommy it's ok you didn't hurt me - it'll be ok. |
